So that you might better understand how our policies and procedures affect you in regards to your personal and financial information that we handle for you in handling your accounts and loans, the following summarizes what we do at The Covington Savings and Loan Association with respect to the privacy of customer information.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:

  • Information we receive from you on applications or other forms
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others
  • Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency

We restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to only those employees and other authorized parties who need to know that information to provide products or services to you.  We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with Federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information.

We do not disclose any nonpublic personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.

What this means for you:  When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you.  We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.
